Behavioural Targeting
ADTECH’s behavioural targeting capabilities allow publishers to build behavioural segments within their sites in order to increase the value of their inventory to advertisers by serving the most relevant advertisement to their users base.
Behavioural targeting is a milestone in digital advertising. It compiles the surfing behaviour of a unique user and utilizes it to provide an individual advertising strategy. ADTECH is pursuing the approach of compiling and classifying the surfing behaviour in similar groups. By using this data, the ad server can automatically select the most appropriate ad for each user which significantly increases the efficiency of online advertising.
ADTECH’s pragmatic approach to behavioural targeting has been developed in coordination with our customers and is fully integrated into our ad management solution Helios IQ. ADTECH customers do not have to implement additional tags or re-tag their websites – they merely have to categorize their website and pages. There are 22 categories which meet the needs of all individual business models.
The most important component of ADTECH’s behavioural targeting is the “interests” profile. For all users who visit the categorized websites, a ‘scoring table’ of distinct categories will be built. This information is continuously updated every 28 days so that a more precise picture of the user can be developed. After the categorization of the websites and the build-up of the users’ scores, the behavioural and demographical aspects of a campaign can be targeted and reported accurately.
